If there’s one thing you gain from a brush with cancer, it’s a crystal clear view of your life. What I discovered is that the seemingly ordinary moments — the ones that feel routine, exhausting, or mundane — are anything but ordinary.

When viewed through the right lens, they’re incredibly special. And if you’re lucky enough to wake up, share breakfast with loved ones, or simply experience another day, you’ve already won.

These moments are a gift, and I’m fortunate enough to witness and document them all the time. It feels like I won the lottery (cancer and all).
